Manuel Espinosa graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, with a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and is currently working in Austin as a Product Test Engineer at Microchip, Inc. where he writes software to test automotive grade semiconductors. Manuel has been involved with SHPE since his time in college and has experience on a variety of executive boards. In his spare time, he enjoys playing softball, golf and tennis, and is always trying to get through an ever-expanding list of books.
Anali Gonzalez designs water, wastewater, and storm infrastructure for municipal and private projects with MWM Design Group. She manages projects from the design though construction phases.
Anali is currently the Visibility Chair for the American Society of Civil Engineers’ Committee on Younger Members on the national level. She also serves as the VP of Leadership Conferences for Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc and in her spare time, Anali runs a lifestyle blog called The Nueva Latina with over 5,000 readers a month.
Bryan Bottinelli was born in Miami, Florida to a Colombian mother and Chilean father. He has a dog named Mila and a cat named Rosita and they’re both also American born but still raised with some sabor.
Bryan enjoys traveling to places to adventure, snowboard/surf, try all kinds of foods, and most importantly learn about the world we live in.
Lilia Sanchez is an Operations Analysis at ERCOT. In her current role she provides electrical engineering analysis and technical support for the operation of electric power systems.
Lilia also part of the Long Range and Strategic Planning Committee IEEE PES. She oversees Chapter Activities, Membership Development, and Outreach.
Lilia gives back to the community through organizations that focus on STEM education, as well as female empowerment and equality. Lilia has been involved with SHPE since 2015, as the Director of Outreach at The University of Texas at El Paso and the Secretary for SHPE Austin Professional Chapter.
Omar Gomez is a Texas Ex with a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering. A five-year professional currently working for Halliburton for the Production Enhancement division. Proud husband of a very supportive and loving wife and owner of a very curious and energetic wiener dog named Penelope.
Marisela Castro is a 2018 graduate from the University of Texas at Austin. She works as a Civil Engineer for the Bureau of Reclamation.
She was an active member of the UT SHPE Chapter throughout college and is excited to continue as the Social Media Director for the SHPE Austin Professional Chapter. Marisela enjoys trying new restaurants and attending events around Austin.
Brian Muñoz is a software developer who works on website development for General Motors. Brian recently obtained his B.S. in Computer Engineering with minors in Mathematics and Cybersecurity from Texas A&M University in May 2019.
Outside of work, Brian enjoys going to the gym, playing basketball, and traveling. Brian was also an active member within the Texas A&M University SHPE Chapter and held both chair positions and a position on the board.
